The work of Susan Victoria Phillips will be on display in the Theatre Lounge during the run of One Man, Two Guvnors. There will be an admission-free Art Show Reception in our lounge on Sunday, January 22, 2017, where you can meet the artist.
Susan Victoria Phillips retired to the beautiful city of Victoria on Vancouver Island in 2013. Her journey to becoming an artist was full of exciting adventures, from her travels in Canada’s Far North, to managing her successful interior design business, to writing her book, The Seductive Power of Home Staging, to designing theatrical sets – most notably for the Dalai Lama, and appearing on radio and television, inspiring audiences with her decorating ideas and tips. Susan has become a promising artist by applying her unique blend of experiences – who knows where this will take her!
Susan creates fresh, vibrant images that capture the detail of her subjects in a realist style that utilizes additional, often subtle elements to create the illusion of a reality, which in fact either does not exist or cannot be seen by the human eye. Her subject matter ranges through figurative art, still life, landscapes, city scenes and narrative scenes.
