Langham Court Theatre is seeking a Costume Loft Manager. 

The Costume Loft Manager is responsible for ensuring that the theatre’s costume inventory is kept in good and working condition, as well as for managing, in a responsible and accurate manner, all activities in the Langham Theatre Costume Loft – from resourcing regular-season productions to renting costumes to the public.

Duties include:

  • Maintaining the Costume Loft and ensuring the inventory is kept clean, repaired, and in order.
  • Provide professional and efficient service to everyone who visits the Costume Loft and/or uses the inventory.
  • Recruiting, training, and managing volunteers.
  • Supplying the costuming needs of Langham Productions in collaboration with the Production Chair and the designers. 
  • Overseeing a costume database.
  • Receiving, assessing, and processing donations.
  • Organizing the annual Costume Loft sale (July)

Qualifications required:

  • Background and/or degree in textile arts, theatre, or costume design
  • Experience working with costumes in theatre or film.
  • Ability to recruit and manage volunteers.
  • Administrative skills and comfort in using the inventory software.
  • Experience in retail. 

The successful candidate will be expected to work 22 hours a week. The costume loft hours are typically Wednesday to Saturday. 

Salary is negotiable based on education and experience.

Wanted: Bar Manager

Langham is looking for a volunteer to manage its bar in the lounge. This involves organizing volunteers to work the bar during various events, keeping inventory of the bar supplies, purchasing the supplies when needed and sending sales reports to the Treasurer.
