Open Auditions for Murder Weekend

Performance Dates: February 21 to March 10. Rehearsals will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and Sunday afternoons starting on December 5th, with a break for Christmas and New Year’s Day. PLEASE DO NOT AUDITION IF YOU ARE NOT AVAILABLE IN DECEMBER, JANUARY, AND FEBRUARY FOR REHEARSALS.
Location: Langham Court Theatre located at 805 Langham Court. Please enter by the stage door located on the south side of the building at the parking lot level.
Audition Dates and Times
- Friday, November 3 – 6:30 to 9 p.m
- Sunday, November 5 – 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.
- Callbacks as needed, Monday, November 6 – 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Please prepare a monologue if you can. No worries if you cannot, there will also be cold readings from the script.
Please bring a head shot with you. If you don’t have one, we will ask your permission to take a picture of you to attach to your audition form. Audition forms will be available to fill out at auditions.
The Story: A newly married couple have taken over a country house which they plan to run as a hotel. They await their first guests who have rented the whole hotel to play a game in which a true murder from the past is enacted.
ROLES
- Mark Pendleton – hotel proprietor, newly wed to Laura, rather shy, a former student at Meltonly School
- Laura Pendleton – hotel proprietor, newly married to Mark, definitely the boss in their relationship
- Herbert Hardacre – father of Julian, former Meltonly student, very much a take-charge individual
- Evadne Fraphampton – recently married to a much older man, Herbert. She’s far more intelligent than the men realize.
- Marjorie Twiss – sister of Herbert, does not suffer fools gladly.
- Julian Cholmondley-Davenport – son of Herbert, hates Evadne and Graham, another former student of Meltonly School.
- Graham Verrall – best friend of Herbert, loves Evadne, former student at Meltonly, loves sports and women.
