As actors, we understand that our body is our instrument. And the better our instrument, the better our performance. We have an innate and specific response to each and every word which is often taken for granted or assumed. This workshop will provide tools to usurp generalities!

Jo’s experiential approach brings the performer into intimate awareness of their body/mind, alignment, breath and emotion before approaching spoken text.  In an open and conscious state the body can receive and respond to words authentically and powerfully.  In this progressive series of four workshops, the performer will gain a lived understanding of speaking from a connected, visceral and dynamic place.

Jo will choose monologues for the class.
