Auditions for Hilda’s Yard: Oct 23,24 (Audtions Closed)
It’s 1956 and Hilda and Sam Fluck are finally empty-nesters, looking forward to their exciting new life. However, their adult children return home, with problems, including a jazz trombonist and the local gangster. Laughter, tears and trials follow. The Fluck family will never be the same.

January 19, 2022 – February 6, 2022. Wednesday to Saturday (8 p.m.) and Sunday matinees (2 p.m.). Total of 15 shows.
Auditions
- Saturday, October 23 from 1–4 p.m.
- Sunday, October 24 from 7–9 p.m.
Auditions will be held in the Rehearsal Room at 805 Langham Court. Enter through the Stage Door in the south parking lot.
All participants must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
These are open auditions and everyone is welcome. No experience is necessary. You will be reading pieces from the play as selected by the Director. No memorization is required.

Characters
- Hilda Fluck: 60ish. Robust, warm and capable, the exasperated manager of the Fluck family and all their problems.
- Sam Fluck: 60ish. Hilda’s husband. Solid, caring, dependent on Hilda and her ability to sort through the family’s issues.
- Gary Fluck: early 30s. Has finally left home for a job in “food services”. Immature, rash, loyal to his family.
- Janey Fluck: early 30s. Recently married. Has dreams of working and living far away. Not much self-confidence.
- Bobbi Jakes: late 20s-early 30s. Trombone player in a jazz band. Dating Gary. Confident, brash.
- Beverly Woytowich: 40-60. Small-time bookie. Street-smart, comfortable with himself.
